The Seeblick (lakeside view) hotel, formerly known as Altwirt, was rebuilt in 1891 and has been used as a guesthouse and hotel since that time. We consider ourselves to be a family-run business with a long-standing tradition as the hotel has been owned by the Sailer/Lütjohann family for three generations, spanning 75 years.

The hotel is situated in the attractive and peaceful village of Bernried by Lake Starnberg (approx. 50 km south of Munich) and was voted the most attractive village in Bavaria several years ago and again in 2006.

The hotel used to be a holiday residence for princes and barons, but now it’s both a popular hotel for holiday-makers and an excellent venue for conferences.
